The main motive behind this wholesome fest is to reduce the Academia-Industry gap and interact with like-minded people in Pakistan to explore the latest challenges in the Security Industry.
October – Ignite Cyber Hackathon

The inception of the cybersecurity hackathon event marks a crucial step in Pakistan’s journey to address the growing need for cybersecurity professionals. Recognizing the global shortage and the increasing significance of cybersecurity, this initiative by Ignite aims to create a competitive environment where individuals, from hobbyists to students, can hone their skills, tackle real-world challenges, and contribute to the nation’s cyber resilience. By fostering a culture of innovation and preparedness, this hackathon event not only offers recognition and rewards but also plays a vital role in shaping the future of cybersecurity in Pakistan.
The first Cybersecurity Hackathon in Pakistan was organized by Ignite in 2021, followed by another two in 2022 and 2023. These hackathons improved the nation’s cybersecurity readiness, protection, and incident response capabilities.
At first, the hackathon was conducted in five major cities. Subsequently, its success led to its expansion to fifteen cities in 2024, featuring not only hands-on workshops but also a thrilling hackathon event.

National Center for Cyber Security (NCCS) in collaboration with Pakistan Cyber Emergency Response Team (PKCERT) are organizing ‘Pakistan Cyber Security Challenge’, a Hackathon and Capture-the-Flag (CTF) event, crypto challenge, and a startup challenge (ideas cup). This event is open for students from Universities and all other educational institutions accross Pakistan.
In a connected world, digital devices and services have become an integral part of our everyday lives. At the same time, such devices and services are also increasingly exploited by criminals for cyber-related and cyber-enabled crimes. To address these challenges, there is an urgent need for a new breed of cybersecurity experts who understand new security vulnerabilities and develop ways to secure new devices and services in the digital realm.
